About the Role:

The Associate – Technology Support Group (TSG) plays a vital role in ensuring smooth IT operations at Bain. This position involves supporting employees with technical issues, responding to IT queries, managing system configurations, maintaining hardware/software inventory, and coordinating with external vendors. You’ll serve as the go-to person for troubleshooting PC, software, and network issues while upholding Bain’s TSG policies and ensuring system integrity.

This role demands a mix of technical knowledge, problem-solving mindset, and excellent customer interaction skills, along with the ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first point of contact for IT-related support requests from Bain employees.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade software and operating systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate logs for repairs, activities, and system inventories.
  • Manage user accounts, access controls, and system permissions.
  • Collaborate with vendors for off-site hardware repairs.
  • Participate in testing new software applications and version upgrades.
  • Assist in developing end-user training programs and mentoring junior staff.
  • Adhere to and enforce TSG guidelines and standard practices.

Key Technical Skills:

Technical support, IT troubleshooting, hardware maintenance, software installation, operating systems (Windows/macOS), remote support tools, Active Directory/user management, ticketing systems, vendor coordination, backup monitoring, process documentation.

Requirements:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 3–6 years of corporate IT support experience.
  • Strong knowledge of computer systems, Windows/macOS, and networking basics.
  • Experience with remote support tools, service request management, and escalation handling.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
  • Analytical mindset with strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Calm, composed decision-making ability during high-pressure situations.
  • Time management and multitasking capability in a fast-paced workplace.
